14 DAY AFRICAN GOLF ODYSSEY

DAY 1 Depart Australia
Today is departure day from your home state. You will be collected from your home or designated pick up address by a private transfer and taken to the airport in readiness for your flight to Cape Town with Singapore Airlines.
DAY 2 Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town Airport, you’ll be welcomed and transferred in comfort to the stunningly appointed Victoria & Alfred Hotel, located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront.
The warm personality of the hotel, the attention to detail and the friendly atmosphere created by the staff are responsible for the Victoria & Alfred being one of the few hotels in the country to be granted the prestigious four star silver grading. All 68 bedrooms of the Victoria & Alfred Hotel enjoy unrivalled views of Table Mountain and the working harbour or the vibrant V&A Waterfront.
Rooms are ultra large, superbly furnished and comfortably air-conditioned. Each has a separate shower, fully stocked private bar, king size bed and innovative luxury modern appointments, ensuring a comfortable stay. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure after checking in.
DAY 3 Cape Town
Enjoy breakfast before meeting your guide at reception. You’ll be transferred to Pearl Valley Golf Course. Pearl Valley hosted the South African Open in 2007, ‘08 and ‘09. Jack Nicklaus selected this incredible location in the Winelands for his first course in the Western Cape. Pearl Valley, today one of the country’s most scenic and celebrated courses, was masterfully crafted out of the rich soil of this spectacular region. After your round of golf your guide can show you around the picturesque town of Franschhoek if you are keen. Visit the Huguenot Museum and the chocolateries and cafés before returning to the hotel.
DAY 4 Cape Town
Play a round of golf at Steenberg GC after breakfast.
Against the amethyst slopes of the Silvermine Mountains lies the Steenberg golf course, one of Cape Town’s premier courses. The course is characterised by winding its way through a fertile valley covered in vineyards and offers a beautiful vista of the back of Table Mountain. Steenberg is located beside the vineyards of the oldest wine farm in South Africa. The course is renowned for its incredible greens, including the largest green in Africa. It has gently undulating fairways and its greens are surrounded by broad aprons of bent grass encourage players to play a ‘chip and run’ approach on all the holes.
Return transfer to the hotel after your round of golf and explore the V&A Waterfront at your own pace.
DAY 5 Sun City
Check out after breakfast and meet your guide at reception. You’ll be transferred to Cape Town Airport where you’ll board your domestic flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred in comfort to the Sun City Resort. Check in at Sun City Hotel. Overlooking the internationally acclaimed Gary Player Golf Course, the Sun City Hotel is home to the Sun City Casino. The ambience of the hotel is one of glamorous sophistication tastefully combined with magical fantasy. The Sun City Resort boasts an incredible Entertainment Centre Complex complete with a casino, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, cabarets, theatres, cinemas and a water amusement park – Valley of the Waves.
For the outdoors enthusiast there is a myriad of activities on offer, including water sports, horse riding, hiking trails and ranger guided safaris in the neighbouring Pilanesberg National Park.
DAY 6 Sun City
Head for the first at the Gary Player Country Club after breakfast. The celebrated Gary Player CC is a challenging and demanding course set in sublime African Bushveld. The course is home to the annual Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge, the international golf calendar’s most prestigious private invitational event with 12 of the world’s top professional golfers competing each year for the coveted 7 digest first prize.
DAY 7 Sun City
Enjoy breakfast before teeing off at the Lost City Golf Club. South African golfing legend and course designer, Gary Player, believes that he has created one of the top courses in the world at Lost City, with its desert style front nine and out-of Africa back nine bordering the Pilanesberg National Park. Beware of the 38 giant crocodiles guarding the water hazard surrounding the signature par 3 13th hole! Spend the remainder of the day exploring all the attractions at Sun City at your own pace.
DAY 8 Legend Resort
Check out after an early breakfast and meet your guide at reception for your transfer to Legend Golf and Safari Resort. Legend is situated on the lower escarpment of the 22 000 ha Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the malaria-free Waterberg region of Limpopo Province. Combine luxurious living with quality cuisine in outstanding locations and Legend Golf & Safari Resort really does live up to its reputation as Africa’s Leading Tourism Destination. The resort won the 2010 World Travel Award as Africa’s Leading Golf Resort and also the Award as Africa’s Leading Sports Resort. DAY 9 Legend Resort
Tee off at Legend Golf Course after a delicious breakfast. Legend golf course is designed to be the most unique 18 hole championship golf course in the world. It is one of the longest golf courses in South Africa, providing all golfers, irrespective of their handicap, the experience of a true African challenge.
A real legend and first of its kind, this spectacular course was designed by:

After your round of golf you’ll be boarding the helicopter with the club pro for your flight to the top of the mountain, from where you’ll play the 19th Hotel Extreme. Earn US$ 1 000 000 if you get a hole in one!
DAY 10 Joberg
You’ll be welcomed and transferred in comfort to Emperors Palace. Meet your guide at reception after lunch and you’ll be transferred to Royal Johannesburg and Kensington East Golf Course. The club was initially known only as Johannesburg Golf Club. Johannesburg GC was granted the ‘Royal’ prefix by King George V in 1931. The Royal J&K East Course is a championship layout that has hosted 7 SA Opens, the SA Amateur and many other PGA Tour events. It is a true test of golf in an exquisite, yet traditional parklands setting.
DAY 11 Kruger National Park
Check out after breakfast and meet up with your guide at reception. You’ll be transferred to the airport where you’ll board your flight to the Kruger Park.
You’ll be welcomed and transferred in comfort to Buhala Private Game Lodge, situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, a prime game viewing location inside the Kruger National Park. Buhala is an enchanting private game lodge with breathtaking views over the African wilderness. Guests sitting on the veranda sipping sundowners or lazing around the pool have wonderful sightings of elephant, lions, buffalo, hippos and many antelope passing by in their natural habitat. After lunch you’ll be transferred to Leopard Creek CC. Located in the Kruger Park, Leopard Creek is a Gary Player masterpiece and the home of the Alfred Dunhill Open.
Innovative landscaping techniques ensure that the course is naturally protected from wild animals, lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and interesting golf strategies. Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to families of hippos and crocodiles! After golf you’ll return to Buhala for dinner.
DAY 12 Kruger
After breakfast you’ll be off on a full day ranger guided safari in the Kruger Park.
The diversity of the Kruger National Park’s flora is matched by an equally dazzling variety of mammalian, avian, reptilian and amphibian species. 507 bird and 147 mammal species reside in the Kruger National Park, while recent surveys substantiate the presence of 7000 elephants, 2000 lions and 400 endangered African Wild Dogs (Lycaon Pictus). Return to Buhala and spend the evening relaxing at the lodge.
DAY 13 Joberg
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxing morning at the lodge. Check out and meet your driver at reception. You’ll be transferred to the airport, where you can do some duty free shopping before boarding your flight back home.
DAY 14 Arrive home
Today we arrive back in Australia where you will be met at the airport by a private transfer, taken home where you can begin to plan your next African adventure
